NOVAMIX FIBER

Synthetic fibers for reinforcing cement based mortars or industrial concrete floors

Synthetic fibers for the reinforcement of concrete based industrial floors and cement screeds (e.g. on industrial floors with NOVADUR S final cover). Due to their special composition they can be also used for reinforcing low thickness mortars such as wall levelling compounds, plasters, tile adhesives, in order to increase their tensile strength and slip resistance.

Consumption: 600-900 gr/m³ of dry mix
Package: Packages 900 gr

Description

  • Polypropylene fibers NOVAMIX FIBER:
    • are used in mortars and concrete for:
      • strengthening and reducing cracks
      • improving elasticity and tensile strength
      • enhancing impact and abrasion resistance
      • increasing frost resistance
      • reducing water and chemical agents’ permeability
      • not affecting the finishing characteristics
      • improving the durability of the surface
    • Are available in watersoluble bags ready for mixing as well as in large packages
    • Can be stored for a long time
  • Available in bags soluble to water
  • Dimensions: 6mm, 12mm
  • Packaging: plastic bags of 25 pcs

Application:

Polypropylene fibers are added directly to the concrete or mortar mixing  system, while batching the ingredients. Mix the mixture well for at least 2  minutes.

Use 6 mm fibers if the aggregates are less than 10 mm. In case the aggregates  are bigger than 10 mm then use 18 mm fibers.

The recommended amount is at least 600 g / m³ of concrete or mortar.

Recommendations:

  • Polypropylene fibers do not replace the concrete static reinforcement
  • The standard rules of good concreting practice, concerning production as  well as placing, are to be followed
  • Fresh concrete must cure properly
