Quartz primer for creating an adhesion bridge on non absorbent substrates

Quartz primer for creating an adhesion bridge on non-absorbent substrates, such as metal, glass, existing ceramic tiles, prior to bonding with cement-based adhesives. It is also suitable for application on smooth concrete and smooth surfaces, prior to the application of PLANOCOLOR ACR and PLANOCOLOR SLR organic plasters in ETICS. When a colored primer is required, it can be mixed with NOVACOLOR DESIGN PR. On absorbent substrates it can be applied diluted up to 10% with water. It can receive the subsequent later after 3-5 hours. Part of the  External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS), NOVATHERM SYSTEM.

Consumption: 0,3-0,4 kg/m²
Color: Beige
Package: Containers 20 kg
Pallet: 480 kg

  • PLANO CONTACT quartz primer:
    • can be used on:
          • internal and external floors and walls
          • smooth substrates and substrates with low absorbency surfaces such as old ceramic, terrazzo, natural stones, glass and metal
          • concrete, gypsum and cement boards, thermal insulating panels
          • old paints
    • creates suitable adhesion conditions for:
          • all types of cement, gypsum, lime-based and acrylic plasters
          • tile adhesives, smoothing and leveling compounds
          • decorative coatings and microcement of the PLANOCOLOR system
  • Form: creamy liquid
  • Density: 1,45 ± 0,05 kg/L
  • Waiting time before applying coating: about 3-5 hours
  • Application temperature: from +5°C up to +35°C

Substrate preparation:

Substrates must be clean, dry, well-cured and free from oil, grease, cement laitance and loose parts.

Before applying stir the contents of the container until a homogenous mixture. PLANO CONTACT may be applied to the substrate by brush or by roller. Once dry you can apply the plaster or mortar. The waiting time varies depending on the environmental conditions and absorbency of the substrate. For light absorbent surfaces it can be diluted up to 10% with water.

Avoid using PLANO CONTACT:

  • In cases where the substrate and environment temperature is less than +5°C or higher than +35°C as well the relative humidity is greater 80%
  • on wet substrates

Also note the following:

  • Never exceed the maximum recommended quantity of mixing water (10%)
  • Protect the tiled surface from rain and frost for the first 3 hours
  • Application should be performed by professional users
