NOVACEM

Substrate preparation:

Remove loose and loose parts of concrete or cement mortar until the substrate is solid and coarse. Surfaces should be free of dust, dirt, oils, grease, rust and generally elements that will adversely affect the adhesion.

Preparation of the mix:

In a suitable container, add half of the required amount of water with all the amount of aggregates and mix for about 2 minutes. While stirring, add NOVACEM and the remaining half of the water and stir for another two minutes until the mixture is completely homogenous without agglomerates. The mixture is ready to use. Depending on the composition and use, the mortar is applied using a flat spatula, trowel or suitable spraying systems.

High strength mortars:

NOVACEM: Sand, in a ratio of 1:3 to 1:4
by adding water 1 : 7 - 8 of dry mortar

Repair mortars and thin layers:

NOVACEM: Sand, in a ratio of 1:4 to 1:6
by adding water 1 : 5 - 7 of dry mortar

The indicative proportions refer to parts by weight and with dry aggregates.

Creation of adhesive coatings - adhesion bridge:

mix 1 part water, 1 part NOVAMIX SBR 50 with 2-3 parts NOVACEM.

Recommendations:

• Apply in structurally stable and well-prepared surface
• Do not add water or additives once the mix starts to set
• Do not apply upon non-absorbent substrates such as metal, glass, old ceramic tiles and mosaics without applying appropriate primer
• Do not apply when temperature of the substrate and environment is lower than +5°C and higher than +35°C
• Application must be done by professional applicators

Cleaning:

Tools used during the preparation and application can be cleaned with water while NOVACEM is still fresh. If hardening occurs, cleaning can be done only by mechanical means.
