PLANOCOLOR AC

Acrylic resin binder ready to be mixed with colored granulates for creating decorative plasters

Acrylic based binder resin in white paste form, suitable to create decorative ‘quartz’ plaster coatings on interior and exterior walls. It is a versatile system that offers unique and customized architectural design intents when mixed with the endless combinations of various types of granulates PLANOCOLOR GRANULATES (NSD, NXD, MR, MQ, RC GLASS, NXG). Once the mixture comes in contact with atmospheric humidity, the resin becomes transparent, revealing the color of the granulates that were selected in the mix.. The application should be done on a properly primed surface. PLANOCOLOR AC ‘quartz’ plasters can be applied in homes, External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS), restaurants, hotels, offices & show rooms.

Description

  • PLANOCOLOR AC bonding acrylic resin:
    • can be used in combination with PLANOCOLOR GRANULATES:
      • on interior-exterior walls of homes, offices, hotels, etc.
      • in all common building materials such as concrete, plasters, cement and gypsum-boards
      • in external thermal insulation systems ETICS
    • has high elasticity and excellent adhesion to the substrate
    • has excellent vapor permeability and water repellency
    • offers an open system for infinite and unique color combinations
  • Form: paste
  • Density: 1.05 ± 0.05 kg/L
  • Application temperature: from +5°C up to +35°C

Substrate preparation:

The surfaces will have to be clean, free of dust, dirt, oils, grease, rust and generally from particles that can negatively affect the adhesion of the substance. Smooth or non-absorbent surfaces are primed with PLANO CONTACT FAST.

Preparation of the mix:

In a clean container that contains 5Kg PLANOCOLOR AC add, while mixing on low speed, 15-20Kg PLANOCOLOR GRANULATES until a uniform paste is achieved. The consistency of the aggregates depends on their granulometry. Aggregates of the same mass with smaller granulometry demand more quantity of PLANOCOLOR AC. In any case, ensure the complete wetting of the aggregates and their even distribution.

Application:

The application of the mixture is done with a rounded, metal spatula. Apply the mixture throughout the surface in an even layer, while ensuring that there are no gaps or protrusions.

Recommendations:

  • Do not mix PLANOCOLOR AC with cement, gypsum or pigments
  • Do not apply when the temperatures of the substrate and the environment are lower than +5°C or higher than +35°C
  • Do not apply to substrates with rising humidity
  • Protect the surface from rain or frost for the first 24 hours
  • Do not apply to walkable areas such as floors and stairs
  • Do not apply to swimming pools and permanent water immersion areas
  • Ensure even distribution of aggregates
  • The application is recommended to be done by a professional user

Cleaning:

Tools, buckets can be cleaned with water as long as the mixture is still fresh. After hardening occurs, cleaning can take place by mechanical means.
