SC FAST

Ultra-fast setting hydraulic mortar for instant sealing of spot leakage in concrete constructions

One component and super-fast setting cement based compound for sealing water leaks, even under continuous water pressure. The product works as a “water plug” and after the water leak is sealed the waterproofing of the total surface is finished by applying the proper waterproofing compound like SC ELASTIC or SC 200 PENETRATE.

Consumption: 1,7 kg/L of cavity
Color: Grey
Package: Containers 1 kg, Containers 5 kg
Pallet: 384 kg, 450 kg

Description

  • SC FAST is suitable for:
      • sealing surface water leaks
      • localized leaks on cementitious surfaces
      • constructing wells that will be exposed to fluids in a short period of time
  • Form: powder
  • Workability: approx. 3 minutes
  • Application temperature: from +5°C up to +30°C

Substrate preparation:

The substrate for application should be structurally stable, clean from grease, oils, loose particles. If it is dry, it should be thoroughly wetted with plenty of water.

Application:

Spot application:

Expand the leakage point (crack, hole, etc.) conically, about 2-3 cm, in the opposite direction of water flow. Mix a small amount with water for 5-10 seconds until the mixture acquires a firm texture, similar to clay, and press it onto the leakage point for about 1 minute, until it achieves the desired hardness.

Surface application:

Apply by hand wearing suitable gloves or with a brush directly to the wet but stable surface until SC FAST powder dries. Then, apply two coats of either SC ELASTIC EASY or SC ELASTIC waterproofing products. For more information, refer to the respective Technical Data Sheets of the products.

Recommendations:

SC FAST shouldn’t be applied:

  • In cases where the substrate and environment temperature is less than +5°C or higher than +30°C
  • Directly on anhydrite, metal or flexible substrates
  • Over existing expansion joints

Also note the following:

  •  Do not add cement, gypsum, lime or other binders or substances which may affect the mortar characteristics
  • Do not add water when the mortar has started to set
  • Application should be performed by professional skilled workers

Cleaning:

Tools, buckets, tiles, etc. can be cleaned with fresh and clean water while SC FAST mix is still fresh. After hardening occurs, cleaning can only be done using mechanical means.
