Substrate preparation:
Cementitious substrates must be clean and solid, without cracks, free of dust, salts, grease and any other materials that could reduce the adhesion of NOVAROOF AC FIBER on them. In case the application is done on absorbent substrates such as concrete, cement mortars, etc. at high temperatures, the NOVAPRIMER primer must be applied. For more information, refer to the respective Product Technical Data Sheet.
Preparation of the mix:
Mix with an electric mixer at low speed to homogenize the mixture. The mixture
is ready to use.
Application:
The application of the mixture on a large surface, properly prepared, is done with a brush or roller in at least two layers. The second layer is applied crosswise after 24 hours. The total application thickness should not be less than 2 mm. The application should cover the entire surface with a uniform thickness. Expect each previous coat to harden before applying the next one. In all critical zones, such as floor joints with vertical surfaces, the sealing zone must be reinforced with the use of a suitable polyester fleece. In the case of local cracking, the crack is applied to the material and after the polyester fleece is placed, NOVAROOF AC FIBER is applied sequentially along the cracks.
Recommendations:
- Apply only upon structurally stable and well-prepared substrate
- Avoid application under direct sun exposure or/and strong wind
- Do not apply in ambient temperatures less than +5°C and higher than +35°C
- Protect the application surface from rain or frost the first 24 hours
- Do not place objects that could damage the coating
- The use of NOVAROOF AC FIBER in areas with permanent water presence is not recommended
- Do not apply to a total thickness of less than 2 mm
- Do not wet between layers
- It is recommended that the application be done by a professional user
Cleaning:
Tools, buckets, etc. can be cleaned with fresh and clean water if NOVAROOF AC FIBER is still fresh. After hardening occurs, cleaning can take place by mechanical means.
